Mizanur\\\'s 1st janaza held in Bandarban

The first namaz-e-janaza of BGB member Nayek Mizanur Rahman killed in firing by Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) was held at 9:00am on Monday at the BGB's Naikhonchhari headquarters. Rahman's body will be flown to his home district Comilla for burial. He will be buried at his native village Bholanagar at Debidwar upazila of Comilla district after the 2nd janaza at noon. On Saturday afternoon, BGP handed over the body of Mizanur who had been killed along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border at Naikhonchhari on Wednesday, to BGB at a flag meeting in Panchhari near the Border Pillar No-52. The body was kept at Lembuchhari BGB camp overnight. Later, BGB personnel with the help of locals carried the body to the Naikhonchhari headquarters on Sunday morning. Many BGB soldiers burst into tears seeing the lifeless body of their colleague which was later sent to Cox's Bazar General Hospital for autopsy. Mizanur had gone missing amid indiscriminate firing by the BGP members along Naikhonchhari border on Wednesday morning. Later, a BGP officer confirmed that one of their colleagues was killed when a clash broke out between BGB and BGP amid rising tension along the border, according to UNB.
