MK Anwar dares to contest polls with Hasina

Sunday, 25 May 2014

BNP standing committee member MK Anwar on Sunday threw a challenge to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for testing her popularity by contesting polls against him from his constituency in Comilla. “The government’s popularity has gone down to a zero level. I challenge you (PM) to contest an election against me from my constituency. I’m telling you, I’ll accept you as the Prime Minister with a salute if you can win it,” he said. MK Anwar, also a former minister, said this while addressing a discussion organised by Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal at the Jatiya Press Club, marking the 33rd death anniversary of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman, according to a news agency.
