MK Anwar indicted

A Dhaka court indicted on Wednesday BNP standing committee member MK Anwar in the defamation case filed by Awami Shechhasebak League leader Debashis Biswas, reports BSS.
Additional chief metropolitan magistrate Ali Mahmud Sheikh set July 27 for recording the testimony of the witnesses after framing the charge.
Biswas, president of Dhaka city (South) committee filed the case on May 7 last year before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court (CMM) against MK Anwar bringing allegation that he made a fabricated statement accusing him for setting fire in the holy Quran Sharif in Baitul Mukarram area during the blockade programe on May 5, announced by Hefazat-e-Islam.
