MK Anwar indicted in defamation suit

Charges were framed by a Dhaka court against BNP leader MK Anwar in a case filed under the ICT Act. Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Jahurul Haque indicted Anwar on Monday and said he would hear testimonies on November 23. Anwar was present in the court when charges were framed against him in the case, which was filed under the Information and Communication Technology Act by Debashish Biswas, president of Dhaka city (south) unit of Awami Swechchhasebok League, according to a news agency.
