MK Anwar indicted in ICT case

A Dhaka court framed charges Monday against BNP leader MK Anwar in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology Act for instigating communal forces, reports UNB.
Passing the order in the presence of the BNP standing committee member, Senior Special Judge Mohammad Jahurul Haque also fixed November 23 for the formal trial to begin with the deposition of witnesses.
At a press briefing on May 6, 2013, MK Anwar said the activists of Swechchhasebak League, led by Debashish Biswas, torched some copies of the holy Quran in the city's Baitul Mukarram area on May 5 during Hefajat violence.
