MK Anwar urges PM to arrange fresh national election

BNP standing committee member MK Anwar urged the Prime Minister to arrange a fresh national election in line with people’s desire shunning her vanity.
“You (PM) are freewheeling and saying whatever you like. You’re defaming the country’s revered persons. You even don’t care about contempt of court. Why have you got so much arrogant? The consequence of vanity won’t be good,” he said Tuesday, according to a news agency.
The senior BNP leader was addressing a discussion at the Jatiya Press Club, marking the 33rd death anniversary of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman organised by Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal.
Accusing the government of grabbing state power by force, Anwar said pointing the Prime Minister, “Try to read public mind. They want a fresh election under a non-party neutral administration.”
Mentioning that the days of this regime are numbered, the BNP leader also warned that people will unseat this regime the way they had ousted the Pakistani occupation forces.
Anwar alleged that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is trying to re-establish one-party rule following her father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s footsteps.
