MM Ispahani Nat'l Bridge competition concludes

Beginners lifted the trophy of the 28th MM Ispahani National Team Bridge Championship 2011 that concluded Saturday at the ERC, Institute of Engineers, Ramna, Dhaka winning by 280-225 IMPS, said a press release.
The championship started on December 29, 2011 in which 12 teams including 2 from outside Dhaka took part. The final was played between Liberty and Beginners in 6 sessions over 96 boards. There was a see-saw battle throughout and the final outcome was uncertain till the last session.
The Beginners were represented by M/S Habib Rashid as captain, Syed Shujauddin Ahmed, Brig (Retd) MA Aziz, Md Lutfur Rahman, Md Shahjahan and Md Ismail while Liberty consisted of M/S Md Zahid Hossain as captain, Sk Aminur Rahman, Md Anisuzzaman, Maula Al Mamun, Hasinur Rahman Talukder and Md Moshiur Rahman.
Present on the occasion, among others, were Khandakar Muzharul Haque, President, Bangladesh Bridge Federation and Mr MA Khan, Sr Manager (Sales and Marketing), MM Ispahani Ltd.
Mr Muzharul Haque handed the prizes at the end of the event.
