MMCH interns call off strike

MYMENSINGH, Apr 20 (UNB): The interns at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) called off their indefinite work abstention Monday following a fruitful meeting with the hospital authorities.
The interns resumed work at 4pm after the hospital authorities assured them that they would ensure their security at the hospital.
The MMCH interns went on the nonstop work stoppage Saturday night after some doctors were manhandled by attendants following the death of a patient.
They also demanded punishment of those responsible for the attack on their colleagues.
The students said that police arrested one of the attackers and the authorities assured them of fulfilling their demand of providing security to them.
