Mob kills three robbers in B'baria

BRAHMANBARIA, Jan 15: Three robbers were killed by a mob at Bitghor in Nabinagar Upazila of the district early Friday, said police and locals. 'Tiger' Samad, alleged leader of the robbers in the district, was among the dead, Brahmanbaria additional police superintendent Osman Gani told reporters. There were 15 cases against Samad, said Goni. The other killed are Mofiz (38) and Ilyas (39). The police arrested 25-year old Beauty Begum, who they said was a member of the gang. The villagers surrounded 20 to 25 robbers at around 3:00am and nabbed four of them, said an eyewitness. The mob beat them up and killed three on the spot before arrival of the police.
