Mobile court jails Kushtia AL leader

KUSHTIA, Nov 9 (UNB): A mobile court here on Thursday sentenced a local Awami League leader to a 10-day imprisonment for attempting to enter an examination centre during the Junior School Certificate examination in Mirpur upazila.
The convict is Ruhul Alam Biswas, organising secretary of Mirpur Upazila unit Awami League.
Azizul Haque, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Mirpur Police Station, said police obstructed Ruhul Biswas when he along with his several supporters on motorcycles tried to enter the Mirpur Pilot High School centre in the morning.
Later, a mobile court, led by Mirpur upazila nirbahi officer S M Jamal Ahmed, awarded him the jail term.
