Mobile court to operate until appeals settlement: SC

The operation of mobile court by the executive magistrates will continue until settlement of three appeals filed by the government against the High Court (HC) verdict over the Mobile Court Act, reports UNB.
A five-member bench of the Appellate Division led by acting Chief Justice Abdul Wahhab Miah came up with the order on Tuesday.
Besides, the court fixed January 16 for next hearing.
On January 3 last, the SC fixed on Tuesday for hearing of the appeals.
On May 11, the HC declared illegal the operation of mobile court by the executive magistrates and later on May 14 after hearing on a government appeal the chamber judge stayed until May 18.
Later, the SC extended the time for several times.
