Mobile court to stop violation of civic rules
Monday, 24 November 2014
I am glad to know that the police have decided to operate mobile courts to compel people to use over-bridges and stop jaywalking. In fact, by not using over-bridges people become a cause for accidents. We need to enforce discipline among our citizens. In the developed countries, one cannot think of crossing the road from anywhere other than zebra crossing, over-bridge or underpass. I am sure, initially the law enforcing agency will face some problem enforcing it, but gradually people will be used to the new system. We cannot let pedestrians walk on the road the way they want and create obstruction to vehicle movement.
Today when I was coming from Gulshan Shahjadpur, I saw more people using over-bridge than before, as they have already been informed about the mobile court being introduced to stop traffic rule violations. It is good to see the Dhaka metropolitan police taking concrete action to bring discipline for pedestrians, as the situation is going from bad to worse everyday. Every day we waste a lot of time because of traffic congestion and the citizens need to realize that if we comply with the traffic rules, it will bring comfort and speed in our daily life. So for the sake of the improvement in our life we should respect traffic laws and bring one much needed positive change in our society.
