Modern flat buildings to be built at upazila, union levels: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said that her government has undertaken a programme to build modern flat buildings at union and upazila levels with civic amenities as in urban areas to upgrade the living standard of rural people. Hasina came up with the announcement while addressing a huge public rally at Charghat Upazila High School ground in Rahshahi organised by local Awami League. The Prime Minister said she has directed the authorities concerned to revise the designs of the proposed flats. The Awami League President said that the only aim in her life is to bring smile to the faces of the common people, according to UNB.
