Modern tech for liver transplantation this year

The government will introduce modern technology for liver transplantation by this year with a view to providing better services to the patients who are suffering from acute or chronic liver diseases including cancer.
Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque said that though it was costly but still within the means of the government.
He was addressing a scientific seminar as chief guest organised by Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd at a city hotel Saturday.
Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd managing director Mohammad Ebadul Karim said "Hepatitis is a life threatening disease and one in every 12 people in the world is infected with Hepatitis and its presence in Asia and Africa is even higher."
"We have already launched seven anticancer products which are available in the market and the products have been praised by the leading oncologists."
Dr. Lui Hock Foong, Deputy Director of Mount Elizabeth Transplantation Service of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore presented keynote speech on "Management of Hepatitis B or C acute or chronic liver failure" while Dr. Ravishankar K Diddpur Sr Consultant of Hepatobiliary Surgery of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore presented the keynote paper on "Liver Cancers inclusive if Laparoscopy Hepatectomy" at the scientific seminar.
