Modi greets Hasina on Ramadan

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, now on a visit to London, received a phone call from her Indian counterpart this morning, PM's Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury said.
Sheikh Hasina also reciprocated the gesture of Narendra Modi by extending her best wishes to the Muslim community of India marking the holy month of Ramadan, which begins on Thursday next subject to sighting of the moon.
During the conversation Indian Prime Minister also thanked Sheikh Hasina for extending a hearty reception to him during his recent visit to Bangladesh, a BSS report said.
The two-day visit of Narendra Modi in the first week of this month culminated in the signing of a number of agreements between Dhaka and New Delhi aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and exchanging the document of the ratification of much waited Land Boundary Agreement (LBA), paving the way for exchanging enclaves of the two countries.
