Modi greets PM marking holy Ramadan

LONDON, June 16: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and people of Bangladesh on Tuesday on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, now on a visit to London, got the phone call from her Indian counterpart in the morning, PM's Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury said. Sheikh Hasina also reciprocated the gesture of Narendra Modi by extending her best wishes to the Muslim community of India marking the holy month of Ramadan, which begins Thursday next subject to sighting of the moon. — BSS
