Modi\\\'s \\\"clean India\\\" campaign

Saturday, 15 November 2014

Cleanliness is next to godliness. But as we step out of our house we forget it. We do not wear shoes in our house as we want it to keep clean and dust-free. We do not litter in our house but when we go out we forget everything and start treating our city as a big garbage bin. I always dream that one day our capital will be clean and tidy without litter.
When we Bangladeshi go abroad we are very careful about not littering in foreign countries as we know our bad habit can land us in trouble and we will face monetary fine and embarrassment. But when we are in our country we are very careless.
Recently the Indian prime Minister Narendra Singh Modi has kick-started a social campaign of creating "clean India" and he has got tremendous response from his countrymen. We also should be inspired by Modi's campaign and start a similar campaign in our country so that the common people become aware of the importance of learning and practising clean living.
