Mofazzal for regular supervision of field level projects

Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Affairs Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bilram Sunday underscored the need for regular supervision of the field level projects for socio-economic development of the people, reports BSS.
The concerned divisional commissioners will have to ensure monitoring and supervision of the certain field level projects including the Food for Works (FFW), Test Relief (TR) and Employment Generation Programme for the Poorest (EGPP) in every month as the people can easily overcome the disaster related loss accelerating their socio-economic development, said the minister.
Maya said this while addressing at the coordination meeting of the divisional commissioners at the ministry conference room here.
The minister also asked the divisional commissioners for taking arrangement of close supervision and monitoring of the field level projects by the concerned district commissioners and the upazila nirbahi officers (UNO) to make the implementation of the vulnerable group feeding (VGF) programme successful.
The meeting said the government has already distributed 2,10,293 tonnes of rice under VGF programme across the country in current 2013-14 fiscal.
Besides, the procurement of corrugated sheet with an amount of Taka 35 crore and blanket of Taka 20 crore is now under processing under the human assistance programme, the meeting sources said.
