Mohammad Ali new VC of Southern University

Professor Mohammad Ali, former VC of Chittagong University (1985-1988) had been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Southern University Bangladesh, Chittagong.
He graduated in English Literature from University of Dhaka and Oxford University, England. He started his teaching career in Rajshahi University in 1962, says a press release.
Ali was a member of University Grants Commission (UGC) for the period of 1990-1994. He spoke at the seminar of UNESCO on Higher Education and Information in 1977 held at Geneva and was a team member that attended the 40th UN General Assembly in 1985.
