The 36th death anniversary of renowned politician of the sub-continent, Yusuf Ali Chowdhury (Mohan Mia), will be observed today (Monday).
Different political and social organisations have chalked out programmes to observe the day. These include Quaran Khwani, Milad Mahfil, discussions and feeding the destitute, said a press release.
Yusuf Ali Chowdhury Smrity Committee will hold Milad Mahfil, discussion meeting and feed the destitute at Moez Manjil in Faridpur today.
Besides, Faridpur Islamic Foundation and Faridpur Muslim Mission will organise a seminar on different aspects of his life while Kanaipur Jame Ashrafia Madrasa and Kanaipur Jame Masjid will hold Milad Mahfils.
In Chittagong, Crescent Society will organise a discussion meeting and Milad Mahfil at its office.
Milad Mahfil will also he held at his Gulshan residence.
All his relatives and well wishers have been requested to attend the functions.
