Mohila AL adviser Fazilatunnesa dies

Begum Fazilatunnesa, Bangladesh Mohila Awami League adviser and chairman of Gopalganj Jatiya Mohila Sangstha, died on Wednesday afternoon. She was 70. Fazilatunnesa, who had been suffering from old-age complications, breathed her last at Moksedpur in Gopalganj on her way to Dhaka in an ambulance around 2 pm. She is survived by three sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death. Fazilatunnesa, wife of late Aktaruddin Miah, a former parliament member from Kashiani thana in Goplaganj, was the president of Gopalganj District Mohila Awami League. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of Fazilatunnesa. In a condolence message, she prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her profound sympathy to the bereaved family members, according to a news agency.
