Mohiuddin takes over as BGMEA president

Newly elected president of Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin took charge Sunday from outgoing president Abdus Salam Murshedy. He sought cooperation from all to strengthen country's RMG sector. The charge was handed over to Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the BGMEA held on the day at the BGMEA auditorium. Mr Mohiuddin said, "I will try to strengthen the country's ready-made garment (RMG) sector through establishing a congenial relation between the owners and the workers. He also sought cooperation of all garment owners in this regard. Other newly elected office bearers are -- vice president Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Siddiqur Rahman, Shahadat Hossain and S M Mannan (Kochi), directors -- Shahidullah Azim, Abdul Momin Mondol, Khandokar Rafiqul Islam, Faruque Hassan, Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury (Arun), Md Moshiul Azam (Shajal), S Shohiduzzaman Chayan, Khondoker Jamil Uddin, Sk Atiar Rahman Dipu, Faizun Nabi Chowdhury, Shahidul Huq Sikder (Litu), Arshad Jamal (Dipu), Md Nassir Uddin, Md Mahbubur Rahman, Reaz-Bin-Mahmood (Sumon), Nahid Hasan, A Razzak Sattar, Md Abdul Wahab, Syed Nazrul Islam, Shabbir Mostafa, AM Chowdhury (Selim), Nafid Nabi ((Naf) and K Mahabub Uddin (Jewel).
