Mohiuddin visits retired Sessions Judge Mojibur

CHITTAGONG, July 12: President of Chittagong city Awami League and former city mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury accorded farewell to the retired judge SM Mojibur Rahman today.
Mohiuddin Chowdhury, accompanied by former Chittagong Metropolitan public prosecutor (PP) Kamal Uddin Ahmed, visited the retired Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Judge at his residence at Panchlaish residential area in the city.
Judge Mojibur Rahman retired from the judicial service last Thursday after completing more than three years as Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Judge. During the service as Metropolitan Sessions Judge he gave the verdict of the sensational 10 trucks arms and ammunition haul case that gained him international fame.
The case lasted for nine years as the police filed arms and ammunition haul case after seizing huge arms and ammunition laden in 10 trucks from the jetty ghat of Chittagong Urea Fertiliser Ltd (CUFL) at Anwara on the bank of the Karnaphuli River on April 2, 2004.
Mohiuddin Chowdhury said SM Mojibur Rahman worked with efficiency and awarded many verdicts including that of 10 trucks arms haul case.
