Moizuddin's death anniversary today

The 25th death anniversary of Shaheed Moizuddin, former vice-chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and one of the organisers of the War of Liberation, will be observed today (Sunday) in a befitting manner, reports BSS.
Awami League (AL) and its front organisations and family member of late Moizuddin have chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day.
The programmes include placing wreaths, offering fateha at Banani Graveyard at 9:00am and Milad mahfil at Shaheed Moizuddin Auditorium of Bangladesh Family Planning Association at Naya Paltan after Asr prayers on the day, according to a press release.
The central leaders of AL will offer fateha at the Banani grave of Moizuddin, who was a front ranking leader of the party and a close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Besides, Milad mahfil, feeding of destitute, Doa mahfil and memorial meeting will be held on Noapara Moizuddin Adarsha High School premises under Kaliganj Upazila and similar programmes will also be held at Jamalpur on the day.
A memorial meeting will be held on Kaliganj Upazila Parishad office premises at 3:00pm on September 29.
AL Presidium Member and Agriculture Minister Motia Chowdhury will be present as the chief guest at the meeting, while AL Presidium Member and Minister for Jute and Textiles Abdul Latif Siddiqui will attend as the special guest.
