Money market dealers elect executive body

Md. Zahirul Haque Munshi, deputy general manager (DGM) of Sonali Bank, and Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed, senior vice president (SVP) of Jamuna Bank Limited, have been reelected President and General Secretary of the Bangladesh Money Market Dealers Association (BAMDA) for next two years.
They were reelected in the 3rd annual general meeting (AGM) of the association held to elect the 21-member new executive committee at a city hotel on November 28, said a press release.
Nripendra Chandra Pandit, deputy general manager (DGM) of Janata Bank, Sidhartha Roy, SVP of Eastern Bank Ltd. and Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania, assistant general manager (AGM) of Agrani Bank, have been elected vice presidents.
Md. Habibur Rahman, AGM of Uttara Bank Limited, and Gazi Rahat Mahmood, executive officer of Standard Bank Limited, have been reelected treasurer and organising secretary.
The association also formed its nine-member advisory committee and three-member technical committee consisting of high officials of different banks and non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs).
