Mong circle chief dies in road mishap

Khagrachhori Mong circle chief Raja Paihalaprue Chowdhury and a woman were killed and 20 others, including son of the king, were injured in a tragic road accident at Paglapara in Ramgarh under Khagrachhori Wednesday. Police said the accident occurred at about 6:20am when a Khagrachhori-bound night-coach of Saudia Express carrying the victim passengers from the capital plunged down 200-feet into a roadside ditch, as its driver lost control over the steering. Raja Paihalaprue Chowdhury (53) and another passenger Maleka Begum (29) died on the spot, while 20 others, including the king's son Saching Chowdhury, received injuries. — UNB
