Month-long KITF begins

KHULNA, Mar 16 (BSS): The month-long 18th Khulna International Trade Fair (KITF)-2019 began on Friday at the Circuit House ground in the city.
Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) organised the fair with its president Kazi Aminul Haque in the chair.
Lawmaker Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel of Khulna-2 constituency addressed the function as the chief guest.
Abdus Salam Mueshedi, MP, Divisional Commissioner Lokman Hossain Mia, DIG of Khulna Range Police Didar Ahmed, Acting Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Sarder Rakibul Islam, Chairman of Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Md Helal Hossain and ex-MP of Khulna Mizanur Rahman Mizan and Police Superintendent SM Shafiullah were present, among others.
Mentioning that the Padma bridge is now visible, the speakers said country's southwestern region would turn a large economic zone after being completed the construction of Padma Bridge.
"The government is very much sincere in country's development and the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina lead the country towards development successfully overcoming different challenges," they said.
Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) organised the fair with an aim to promote country-made products and provide opportunities to different foreign companies to market their brands and latest products.
"Traders as well as different business entrepreneurs of home and abroad will exhibit their products before the international business community in the KITF," said the KCCI president Amin, adding that a digital water fountain and over 100 stalls have been set up in the fair.
