Month-long textile fair in Rangpur gaining momentum

RANGPUR, Nov 12: A month-long textile and handicrafts fair organised by Bangladesh Benaroshi Tant Shilpa Gobeshana Foundation is gaining momentum in the district town.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) BM Enamul Haq inaugurated the fair as the chief guest on the Army Community Centre premises recently.
Also present at the inaugural ceremony were, Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Md Shahnewaz Bablu and former president of RCCI Mostafa Azad Babu along with local elite.
A total of 57 stalls and five pavillions have been erected in the month-long fair.
Different kinds of handicraft items, handloom products, crockeries and various kinds of saries like Rajshahi silk, Tangail saries etc. are being displayed in the fair.
Many stalls have offered discounts and various kinds of gift items to attract the customers.
A large number of visitors are visiting the fair everyday with much enthusiasm.
