Moon sighting panel meets in the evening

The National Moon Sighting Committee will sit this (Monday) evening to fix the date of Eid-ul-Fitr after reviewing reports of sighting the Shawwal moon from across the country. Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman, also chairman of the National Moon Sighting Committee, will preside over the meeting in Islamic Foundation’s conference room on Baitul Mukarram National Mosque complex in the city at 7:15pm.
