More cars running on petrol now

FE Report
More and more cars are now running on petrol as CNG filling stations remain shut for six hours due to short supply of the natural gas, officials said Tuesday.
The petrol pump owners said their daily sale has increased by nearly five per cent over the last few weeks due to closure of the compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations.
On Tuesday, cars, once run on CNG, were seen in long queues at petrol pumps for refuelling. Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) said demand for the petroleum products has risen over the last few weeks.
The government has banned operation of the CNG filling stations across the country during 3:00pm to 9:00pm from August 16 to save gas for power generation and household uses.
Nazmul Haque, president of the Bangladesh petrol pump owners association, said that the sale of petrol and octane have risen by nearly 5.0 per cent in last one month.
He said in most cases the car owners come to their petrol pumps for refueling oil after failing to get CNG.
He said: "Usually, I sell 3,000 litres of octane per day in my two pumps in Dhaka city. But due to the six-hour closure of the CNG stations my daily sale reached around 3,200 litres."
