More IBBL officials quizzed

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) interrogated on Thursday six more officials of the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) in connection with the alleged irregularities involving loans of nearly Tk 13 billion (1,300 crore) taken by the Ananda Shipyard.
A three-member ACC team, led by its deputy director Zainul Abedin Shebly, quizzed them for nearly six hours at the ACC head office, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told The Financial Express.
The IBBL officials, interrogated by the ACC, were senior vice president Gias Uddin Ahmed, vice president Abu Sufian, assistant vice president Monir Hossain, executive vice president Abul Bashar, senior principal officer Ahmed Ali and officer AKM Burhan Uddin.
