More medical colleges needed

BANGLADESH needs to address its deficiencies in medical education and service. The affluent go abroad for treatment whenever they need it. It speaks of the lack of confidence on available medical service. The costs are prohibitive for the poor and even the middle class. They have nowhere to go. Bangladesh needs to expand and improve its medical education and service.
For shortage of doctors patients all across the country, particularly in the rural areas, do not get treatment when they need it. A medical college and hospital in each district would solve the problem. The LMF course could be revived for treating minor health problems.
