More public awareness on tax collection stressed

Speakers at a discussion in Rajshahi said more public awareness on tax collection has become indispensable for successful recovery of tax, very important for development. They mentioned that the existing tax collection process and services need to be pro-people. So, the number of tax payers should be enhanced for further strengthening country’s economic situation.  They made the observations while speaking at a discussion in Rajshahi city. Held at the conference hall of Income Tax Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner of Taxes, Wakil Ahmed, spoke at the discussion as focal person with Akbarul Hassan Millat, local president of CGG, in the chair, according to a news agency.
