More rain likely: Sea ports asked to hoist signal 3

Due to strong monsoon, deep convection is taking place over North Bay. Squally weather may affect North Bay, adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh and the maritime ports, a Met office bulletin has said. The bulletin forecast more rain in some places in Dhaka, Rangpur, Sylhet, Khulna and Chittagong divisions in the next 24 hours. Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no 3. All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice, according to a news agency.
