Moriarty for boosting investment in Bangladesh

US Ambassador James F Moriarty Tuesday stressed the need for boosting investment in industries, aviation and tourism sectors for socioeconomic prosperity of Bangladesh, reports UNB.

The envoy came up with the opinion when he called on Mahbub Jamil, Special Assistant to Chief Adviser for the ministries of Civil Aviation and Tourism and Youth and Sports, at the latter's office in the city in the afternoon.

They discussed "important bilateral issues". The special assistant informed Moriarty about recent developments in aviation, industry and tourism, said an official release.

Mahbub Jamil apprised the envoy of the prevailing atmosphere congenial to investment in Bangladesh, saying that, nowadays, Bangladesh is receiving lots of investment offers from foreign enterprises.
