Morshed Alam, MP elected chairman of NLI

Morshed Alam, MP, noted entrepreneur of the country, has been elected chairman of National Life Insurance Company Ltd. The 259th meeting of the board of directors, held on a digital platform on Sunday elected him.
Mr Morshed Alam is a sponsor director of the company and a Bangladesh AwamI League lawmaker elected from Noakhali-2 constituency.
He is one of the pioneers of banking and insurance sector of the country. He is chairman of leading conglomerate Bengal Group and popular TV channel RTV.
Involved in export-oriented plastic, garments, chemical, food processing and other businesses, Mr Morshed won National Export Trophy (gold and bronze) and got elected CIP for many times, said a statement.
