Mortar shell recovered in Mithapukur

A mortar shell, 81 centimetres in length, was recovered from Ghaghot River near Islampur Noakhalipara village in Rangpur’s Mithapukur Uazila on Thursday. Police said that fisherman Majibar Rahman of the village first noticed the mortar shell while fishing in Ghaghot River. Being informed, a special police team from Mithapukur Police Station rushed to the spot, recovered the mortar shell with the assistance of local people and kept it maintaining security, according to private TV channels.
