Mosharraf denied bail in money-laundering case

A Dhaka court has rejected bail petition of BNP standing committee member Dr Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain in a money laundering case. Metropolitan Sessions Judge Ruhul Amin passed the order following a hearing over the case filed by the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) on February 6. Mosharraf was detained following filing of the lawsuit. On March 17, Dhaka metropolitan magistrate denied bail to the former health minister and ordered him to be sent to jail in the case, according to a news agency.
