Mosharraf off to Jordan

Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossen left Dhaka on Saturday morning on four-day tour of the Middle East. The minister, who is heading a five-member high profile delegation, has arrived Amman, the capital of Jordan, to hold talks with high government officials of the Arab country. During his stay in Jordan, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) is expected to be signed between the two countries on the export of Bangladeshi workers to Jordan. The overseas employment minister is scheduled to hold meetings with the labour minister and concerned high officials of Jordan tomorrow. He will discuss increasing facilities including the protection of right and interest of Bangladeshi workers along with more employment of Bangladesh nationals in different sector of the Middle Eastern state. The minister will also attend views exchange meetings with the expatriate Bangladeshis and the Bangladeshi community there, according to a news agency.
