Mosharraf to provide support to deceased families of journos

LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain said on Saturday his ministry would provide support to Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) for the wellbeing of family members of deceased journalists, reports BSS.
"If the ministry has any scope, I will support journalists for their welfare," he said while speaking as the chief guest at the Sagor-Runi auditorium in the city.
The DRU arranged an education allowance distribution ceremony for family members of deceased journalists with its president Shakhawat Hossain Badsha in the chair. Executive Director of Pariprekhhit, Syed Borhan Kabir, delivered speech as the special guest.
The minister suggested the Dhaka Reporters' Unity authorities to form welfare fund for its deceased family members.
