Most DMP PSs do not have own bldgs

Only 13 out of 49 police stations under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have got their own buildings, State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan told the Parliament on Wednesday. He came up with the disclosure while responding to a scripted question from AKM Maidul Islam (Kurigram-3) in the House. The routine works of 10 police stations are being done in temporary police camps, the minister said.Meanwhile, four police stations are being operated in abandoned houses, six police stations in community centres, 12 in rented houses and two on the land of other government agencies -- Airport Authority and Bangladesh Railway, according to a news agency.
