Mostafizur six-for restricts India at 200 runs

Bangladesh new face Mustafizur Rahman’s six-for spurred the Tigers to restrict India to 200 runs in 45 overs in the rain interrupted curtailed 47-over match of the second ODI of their three-match Za'n Zee Ice Cream Cricket Series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Sunday.
Bangladesh will need 200 runs to seal the first ever series victory against cricket giant India. Mustafizur finished his six wickets claiming number nine Ravichandran Ashwin (4 off 10b); Litton Kumar Dash caught Ashwin behind the wicket in the last delivery of Mustafiz’s 10th overs spell that was also the first delivery after around a two hours break for rain.
Pacer Rubell Hossain finished the final job claiming Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3 off 13); was also caught by Litton Kumar Das, in the last delivery of the 45 overs.
The giant Indian's were batting on 196 for 8 in 43.5 overs against Bangladesh when the match was halted for two hours (from 6:18pm to 8:15pm) with Ravindra Jadeja (19 off 25b, 1X4) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2 off 6b) batting on for the visitors, who decided to bat first after winning the toss.
Mostafizur’s six for 43 in the match debacle the visitors' as well as touched the milestone to be only the second bowler after Brian Vittori to take five-for's in his first two ODI's.
In the day's match, the 19 years boy of Satkhira, Mustafizur Rahman who claimed five wickets in the first match, jolted the visitors batting castle in the very second delivery of the innings as he sent Rohit Sharma back for a duck who was caught by Sabbir Rahman at teams zero.
All rounder Nasir Hossain broke the visitors' second wicket stand of 74 runs in 12.1 overs, trapping Virat Kohli (23 off 27b, 3X4, 1X6) lbw while opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan was batting on scoring 44 runs off 47 balls including seven fours.
India reached the 100 runs mark with a single run by S Dhawan off a Nasir Hossian delivery in 19 overs. Soon after, Nasir Hossain claimed S Dhawan who scored 53 runs off 63 balls with seven fours. Dhawan was caught by Litton Kumar Das behind the wicket while scoreboard showing 109 for 3 in 20.5 overs.
The Tigers continued to mount pressure over the visitors as pacer Rubell Hossain sent Ambati Rayudu back to the pavilion for duck, was out by a Nasir Hossain lovely catch, at teams 110 for 4 in 21,4 overs.
Mustafizur Rahman carried new coal for the Tigers castle breaking down the visitors' fifth wicket stand of 53 runs in 13.5 overs, between skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina, claiming his second wicket Suresh Raina (34 off 55b, 3X4), was caught by Litton Kumar Das, at India's 163 for 5 in 35.3 overs.
Mustafizur again burst out with his off-cutter in the 3rd and 4th delivery of his 8th overs spell to claim two successive wickets -–MS Dhoni (47 off 75 balls, 3X4), was caught by Soumya Sarkar, and trapped lbw Axer Patel for duck-- keeping them at teams 174 runs respectively in 39.3 and 39.4 overs.
Mostafizur touched the milestone to be only the second bowler after Brian Vittori to take five-for's in his first two ODI's, riding on his off-cutter after claiming Ravichandran Ashwin (4 off 10b), as fifth wickets who was caught by Litton Das. Mostafizur arranged the tragedy for the Indian's bagging four successive wickets -- Raina, Dhoni, Patel and Ashwin -- within a span of 21 runs (from 163 to 184 runs), in 7.3 overs.
