Mother, daughter stabbed dead in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, Apr 24 (UNB): A woman and her daughter were stabbed to death by miscreants at Kacharipur under Sreepur Upazila early Friday.
The deceased were identified as Hasina Begum, wife of late Amit Uddin and her daughter Arifa, a college student.
Locals said a group of miscreants entered the house of Shahjahan, son of Hasina around 1 am and stabbed Arifa, Hasina and Shahjahan indiscriminately, leaving them critically injured.
Later, they were taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Arifa dead.
Meanwhile, Hasina died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The reason behind the attack could not yet be known.
