Mother, her daughter murdered in Ctg city

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 30: A mother and her married daughter were strangulated to death allegedly by the daughter's husband at their residence in the Pathantooly area in the city today.
Double Mooring police recovered the bodies of the two women on Tuesday noon after receiving information from the local people, police said. The bodies have been sent to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
The deceased were identified as Hosne Ara (50) and her daughter Parvin Akhtar (18). One of the bodies was left by the killer inside the house and the other outside the house in the Pathantooly Gayebi Mosjid area.
Police said Parvin's husband Abdul Matin might have killed his wife and mother-in-law by strangulating them. He remains absconding after the incident.
Police also said Matin, a rickshaw puller by profession, was married to Parvin only 10 months ago. They were living at a rented house after the marriage. Matin is from Muradnagar area of Cumilla district.
