Mother, son electrocuted in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, June 16 (BSS): A woman and her son were electrocuted at Mahishmuri village under Gobindaganj upazila of the district on Thursday afternoon.
The victims are identified as Rahima Khatun, 35, wife of Rafiqul Islam and their son Rifat Miah of the village.
Milon Chatterjee, in-charge of Bairagi Hat Police Investigation Center, Gobindaganj, said a cow was electrocuted while eating grass in a land adjacent to their house around 2.30 pm.
As Rifat and his mother Rahima tried to save the cow, they were also electrocuted.
Later, they were taken to Ghoraghat Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctors declared them dead.
