Mother, son killed in city road accident

A woman and her son were killed, when a bus hit them on the footpath at Uttara in the city on Sunday morning. The deceased were identified as Ruma Akhter, 30,and Alif, 8. "A bus ploughed into the footpath after hitting a bus of Balaka Paribhan and killed the mother and son on the spot," said Uttara West Police Station Sub Inspector M Firoze. Police seized the bus and arrested the driver. — BSS
