Monday, 24 February 2014

Centre for Zakat Management (CZM) has distributed a motorised wheelchair to a physically retarded youngman, aged 20, suffering from Cerebral Palsy (CP) disease, at his residence in the city recently.
A laptop and a printer were also provided to support his self-employment. Khondoker Zakaria Ahmed, DGM of CZM handed over a laptop and a printer while Mohammad Shoaib, MD of Standard Cartoons Ltd was also present, said a press release.
Syed Ali Javed, the beneficiary, has been suffering from CP since his early childhood that barred him to move his legs and left wrist.
However, with determination and confidence, he overcame the difficulties and passed his SSC and HSC successfully.
He also got training on computer and office software operation from CRP at Savar. CZM, an organisation engaged in Zakat based poverty alleviation activities, came forward to support Javed for his smooth movement and self-employment.
