MoU on farm credit signed in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Apr 23: A Memo randum of Understanding ( MoU) between National Bank Limited, Rajshahi and Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) was signed on supervision of the Farm Credits and Rural Credit Programme recently. The MoU signing function which was held at the hallroom of National Bank Regional office at Shaheb Bazaar, Rajshahi, was presided over by the Chief Executive Vice President of the Bank Wasif Ali Khan while the Memo of Understanding was signed by Neaz Ahmed, Managing Director of the Bank and Shafiqur Rahman, Executive Director of BMDA. The MoU signing function was attended, among others by Chairman of BMDA Advocate Nurul Islam Thandu, Deputy Managing Director of the bank AKM Shafiqur Rahman,Deputy Managing Director ASM Bulbul, Professor of the department of Botany of Rajshahi University Dr. M. Monzur Hossain, former President of RCCI Alhaj Abu Bakker Ali and Editor of local daily Liakat Ali. More than 50 farmers of Rajshahi region were present at the MoU signing function. It is learnt, National Bank has so far disbursed agricultural loan worth Tk. 1,000 (100 crore) million, the recovery rate of which is 99 per cent.
