MoU signed between CCCI & British HC

The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCCI) and British High Commission (BHC), Dhaka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Tuesday to simplify and accelerate the Visa application of the members of CCCI intending to visit UK for business purpose.
Mr. M.A. Latif MP, President, CCCI and Mr. Stuart Percival, First Secretary of British High Commission in Bangladesh signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
The President of the Chamber pointed out that bilateral trade between Bangladesh and UK has increased in recent times for which mutual travel to and from both the countries increased. He hoped that signing of the MoU would help accelerate the Visa processing activities and thereby ease obtaining of British Visa in a hassle free manner.
Mr. Stuart Percival explained the newly introduced Visa application procedure and requested the businessmen of Chittagong to provide authentic documents with their application for quick and easy processing.
According to the MoU, Representatives of the CCCI member firms would procure a supporting letter from the CCCI to be enclosed with other relevant documents of the applicant, submit the same to the VFS office at the Chamber House, Chittagong to be processed very quickly for issuance of Visa. British High Commission would consider the applications on priority basis.
