MoU signed with UAE to boost coop in aviation sector

Bangladesh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to boost mutual cooperation in the aviation sector, a UAE-based news agency said. Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) signed the MoU with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of UAE with a view to developing a strong collaboration between the two countries in the field of air transportation, news agency WAM said. It said that the MoU will regulate the Air Services Agreement (ASA) initialled earlier on August 27, 2007, in Dubai. According to the report the MoU was inked in Dhaka last Tuesday by Chairman of BCAA Mr Mahmud Hossain and Deputy Director General of GCAA Mr Omer Bin Ghalib. Representatives of five UAE-origin carriers also attended the signing ceremony.
